Today I had Falfare with salsa tartufata and egg-white sauted with juicy sweet tomato.
For the salsa, I bought it in Italy on the way to Florence. It smells and taste amazing. However it comes with a price. 15 euros for a small bottle.
Other than the salsa, what's special about this dish is the egg, which is semi boiled. I wanted the egg to be soft and smooth not crispy and dry.
So here it is shining in the morning light
For dinner I decided to cook mac and cheese.
However I don't want the usual mac and cheese.
So I put spinach, paprika, yogurt (instead of sour cream) to the mixture. To my surprise, the paprika gives the pasta a very rich aroma. It smells like something that came out from a fancy kitchen. Oh I am so happy.
The pasta is crispy on top and very yummy inside. a glass of coffee is just a perfect companion.
Cooking makes me feel really good.
